2011 Taiwan Fellowship Program
The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is pleased to announce the offering of the Taiwan Fellowship Scholarship Program 2011. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) established the Taiwan Fellowship Scholarship Program in order to encourage experts and scholars worldwide interested in topics related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, mainland China, Asia Pacific and other facets of Sinology to conduct advanced studies at Taiwan’s universities or research institutions and promote academic exchanges.
Fellowship recipients should be a professor, associate professor, assistant professor, or a doctoral candidate of related departments at overseas universities, or research fellows of equivalent level in academic institutions. The minimum duration of the scholarship is three months and the maximum is one year. Research stipends are granted at the beginning of each month in the following categories: (1) Professor, associate professor, research fellow and associate research fellow: NT$60,000 (approx. US$2065) (2) Assistant professor, assistant research fellow and doctoral candidate: NT$50,000 (approx. US$1725). The scholarship provides direct route round trip airfare ticket. The recipient should arrange his research and visit in Taiwan by himself.
