Director General Chen Arrived to Assume Duties

The new Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Toronto Winston Wen-yi Chen arrived at the Pearson International Airport in Mississauga on September 12 to assume his new duties.

Director General Chen was warmly welcomed at the airport by leaders of the local Taiwanese community and was interviewed by the local Chinese news media upon arriving. In his first press conference held next day, Director General Chen also had a nice chat with reporters from the Chinese media. The conference was widely covered by the OMNI TV, FairChild TV, World Journal, Ming Pao and other Chinese newspapers.
