Call for Entries: The First Austronesian Fine Arts Award

Taitung County Government in Taiwan is holding the First Austronesian Fine Arts Award, with a first prize of NT$200,000 (approximately US$6800). The theme of the award is “Dancing with Nature”. All domestic and foreign artists are welcome to participate in this competition.

The artwork -- oil and/or acrylic on canvas and mixed media – should present the Austronesian spirit of “harmony with nature”. Entries are limited to one piece per artist, made within the past three years, that has not previously won an arts award.

The submission deadline is September 1-9, 2011. The winning works will be displayed at the Taitung Art Museum in December, 2011.
