For the first year, Taitung County invited pilots from the United States, Canada, Switzerland, New Zealand, India, Thailand, and Dubai. They were all stunned with the view of sites and the natural beauty of Taitung. The event attracted more than 350,000 viewers from Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan. It became Taiwan’s most popular summer tourism activity in 2011.
Taitung County Government will design more exciting activities to ensure participants a wonderful time with lots of fun and the opportunity to test ballooning skill. A comprehensive hospitality package will be provided for all balloon team members.
