Director-General Anne Hung Invited to Deliver Speech at Williams College
Director-General Anne Hung delivered a speech titled “The US Pivot to Asia: The Importance of US-Taiwan Relations” at Williams College at the invitation of the Department of Asian Studies on February 15, 2012. The talk, held in Griffen Hall, was followed by a lively Q and A session attended by 50 students and faculty.
The talk was moderated by Dr. Cornelius Kubler of the Department of Asian Studies. Director-General Hung emphasized the importance of US-Taiwan relations and Taiwan’s contribution to regional peace in the context of US foreign policy and its pivot to Asia. This was her second speech at Williams College, the first being back in March 2011 when she spoke on the ROC’s democratic development and flexible diplomacy.
