An “Asia Trade Mission Forum” organized by US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC) was held on May 23, 2011 in Millennium Biltmore Hotel located at downtown Los Angeles, California. Dr. James Wu, Director of Commercial Division of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles (TECO LA), was invited as the panelist speaker to address how the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement between Taiwan and China recently signed will bring business opportunities for Asian American businesses in Asia.
Dr. James Wu briefed the introduction of Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA), the main contents of ECFA, the economic benefits of signing ECFA for Taiwan and foreign companies. To sum up, Dr. James Wu emphasized that the signing of the ECFA will create more business opportunities for American companies in Taiwan and enable them to use Taiwan as a gateway into China and Asia’s market.
