The requirements and procedure for obtaining a landing visa are:
- The applicant has no criminal record and the validity of his passport must be no less than six months; The applicant must fill out an application form, present one photo and a visa fee of NT$1,200; plus a handling fee of NT$800. ( American: Visa application fee of NT$1,500 plus a handling fee of NT$800) Duration of stay for a landing visa is 30 days, no extension; For those passengers who enter the C.K.S. International Airport, ground staff will help passengers with the landing visa. Those who enter through Kaohsiung International Airport can apply to the Kaohsiung Station of Aviation Police Bureau, for a temporary entry permit. The passengers must change the permit to a visa at the Bureau of Consular Affairs or its Kaohsiung or Hualien Office within 3 days.
- Countries eligible for landing visas are: Citizens of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland.
