World School Children’s Art Exhibition Now Accepting Submissions
The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in New York is pleased to announce that the 40th World School Children’s Art Exhibition is now accepting submissions. Organized by the Association for Education through Art and the Association of Formative Art Education of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the goal of the exhibition is to promote mutual understanding and friendship among the children of the world via the exchange of artwork.
All children ages 6-15 are eligible to enter. Awards will be given by a panel of distinguished judges, and the winners of the Gold and Silver medals will be invited to attend the World Children’s Art Convention, held in Taiwan from September 4 to 20, 2009.
Submissions may include oil paintings; water colors; woodblock prints; crayon, pencil, or pastel drawings; collages; graphic design; etc., with dimensions no larger than 55 cm X 40 cm. Only one piece per child is permitted, and all submissions must be marked with the child’s full name, place of birth, sex, nationality, school address, and the date. Each country is limited to a total of 60 entries.
