THE INFORMATION DIVISION, TAIPEI LIAISON OFFICE IN THE RSA

The areas that the Information Division covers include South Africa and certain neighbouring countries such as, Swaziland, Lesotho, Namibia, Botswana and Mozambique. The major function of the Information Division is to provide general information of the ROC on Taiwan, and to promote mutual understanding between the media and people of Taiwan and South Africa. Services provided by the Information Division can be summarized as follows:

• Promotion of national image and general information of Taiwan to South African media and public.
• Render assistance to South African media to access all up-to-date information on Taiwan.
• Extend invitations to South African media people to visit Taiwan in order to obtain first hand information and experience.
• Visit schools to give children a better understanding of Taiwan and the Chinese culture.
