Food for the Poor welcome Taiwan as it’s valued partner for Haiti’s reconstruction
Food for the Poor, the largest international relief and development organization in USA, held the Building Hope Gala on February 4, 2012 at the polo Club of Boca Raton as a fund raising event for Haiti earthquake victims. Proceeds from the Gala will be used to build needed homes at the Olivier Community in Haiti. More than 400 compassionate Florida residents attended the event.
Ray Mou, Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural office in Miami, was invited as one the major gala’s Auction prize Donors. On behalf of the government of Republic of China, Taiwan, Ray Mou handed 20 pieces of Taiwan brand name products and an evening gown from Taiwan’s renowned fashion house SHIATZY CHEN to Robin Mahfood, the President of Food for the Poor. Mahfood thanks to the generosity support of the Republic of China and hailed the government as one of the valued partner of FFP.
