The Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office (TECRO) was established pursuant to the Taiwan Relations Act (PL. 96-8), for the purpose of promoting and strengthening the economic, cultural, educational and other related ties between the United States and the Republic of China (ROC) on Taiwan. The Seattle office (TECO-Seattle), overseen by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States, represents the interests of ROC (Taiwan) in Northwest Region of the USA.
TECO-Seattle handles a variety of services, covering area includes Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.

TECO-Seattle oversees Chinese Cultural Center located in Seattle China Town community. This center provide a venue for a diverse range of multi-cultural events including art exhibitions, musical concerts, dance programs, educational lectures, and ongoing classes in traditional Chinese arts.
