Legalizations of documents from Slovenia and Croatia

I. Service Area
Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Austria is only authorized to authenticate documents that have been issued within our service areas, which include Austria, Slovenia and Croatia.
II. Required Documents
Completed Application Form for Authentication. (Download)
Copy of the valid passport of the applicant as the proof of his or her identity.
Should applications submitted by an agent, the agent has to present a Power of Attorney or Letter of Authorization and a copy of his or her valid passport.
The original documents submitted for authentication and one extra photocopy. The original document(s) needs to be authenticated. (see III. below)
If several identical documents are submitted for authentication, only one photocopy of one of the documents is required.
III. Legalization Process
Documents from Slovenia should be legalized from the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in advance before submission at our office.
Documents from Croatia should be legalized from the Croatian Foreign Ministry and the Croatian Embassy in Vienna in advance before submission at our office.
IV. Submission
Documents can be brought to our office in person upon prior appointment or be sent by mail. Please address the application to:

Legalizations of Power of Attorney can only be submitted by the applicant him or herself.
V. Authentication fee and Methods of Payment
Standard legalisation fee: 14€, processing time 3 working days
Express legalisation fee: 21€, processing time 1 working day
Payment is ONLY accepted by Cash
VI. Pick up
For those applicants unable to pickup the application in person, they need to order a courier for obtaining the document(s) back. International delivery companies such as DHL, FedEx, UPS etc. are highly recommended.
Our office also offers to send your document(s) back via the Austrian Postal Service. In this case, a self-addressed return post envelope is required as well as postage fee in cash:
- Postage fee from Austria back to Croatia: 15€
- Postage fee from Austria back to Slovenia: 15€
VII. Opening Time
The public operating hours of the Consular Division is Monday to Friday (9:00 am to 12:00 am)
VIII. Other reminders
Please pick up your document(s) within 60 days. This office is not responsible for the safekeeping of the documents after this time.
This office can only provide the status of your documents after your documents have been processed.
This office reserves the right to request additional supporting documents depending on the nature of every individual application.
