The Association of Taiwanese Students at the University of Queensland held a ‘Study in Taiwan’ information stall at 2022 UQ Market Day on 16 February, 2022. Decorated by the association’s logo banner and Taiwan iconic bear T-shirts, the Taiwanese stall was greatly appreciated by the UQ community.
Market Day is one of the best days on the University of Queensland calendar and the perfect opportunity to get connected. There were more than 190 clubs and societies on display in the campus Great Court on Market day displaying their services and signing up members.
This year, the Taiwanese Australian International Student Association (TAISA) led by its chairwoman Jin Chen, collaborated with the Education Division of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Australia to prepare for this UQ’s iconic event. A selection of the latest pamphlets on studying in Taiwan were offered for introduction. The highlights included:
- 400 pieces of promotional magnets were produced with thoughtful features of Taiwan motifs, such as the Taipei 101, sky lanterns, to amplify promotional impact on UQ community;
- Provided facial masks and document folders printed with ‘Study in Taiwan’ logo; printed out version of 2022 January edition ‘Study in Taiwan E-newsletter’ for visitors;
- For those unable to visit, TAISA uploaded Study in Taiwan information onto its official website (https://uqtaisa.wixsite.com/website) to better inform UQ community.
