Ambassador Douglas Hsu Attends Launch of Taiwan–Australia Young Business Leaders Program

Ambassador Douglas Hsu and Director David Wu of TECO Sydney attended the announcement of the 2025 Taiwan–Australia Young Business Leaders (YBL) Program, co-hosted by the Australia-Taiwan Business Council (ATBC) and Taiwan’s Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA). The event included a live connection with Taipei, highlighting the potential of emerging business talents from both countries.
Ambassador Hsu emphasized that the YBL program, supported by the Australia-China Council Foundation, reflects strong bilateral commitment to deepening economic cooperation and talent development. He thanked ATBC Executive Director Ching-Mei Maddock for coordinating the effort and encouraged the 12 selected participants to lead boldly and foster collaboration to build a resilient and inclusive future for Taiwan and Australia. Australian Office Representative Robert Fergusson also highlighted ongoing cooperation in traditional and emerging industries such as renewable energy, biotech, semiconductors, and AI.
