The Australian Outlook published an op-ed by Ambassador Douglas Hsu entitled “Taiwan’s Continued Exclusion from the United Nations Risks Lives.”
In the article, Ambassador Hsu calls on the international community to support Taiwan’s participation in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to safeguard global flight safety. He emphasizes that Taiwan’s expertise and information are essential to international aviation safety, and that excluding Taiwan could increase risks. Ambassador Hsu also highlighted China’s misinterpretation of UN General Assembly Resolution 2758.
As a vital part of the global aviation network, Taiwan’s participation in international civil aviation cooperation is both a responsibility and a crucial measure to ensure the safety of passengers worldwide.
