Ambassador Douglas Hsu Publishes Op-Ed on Taiwan’s Participation in INTERPOL

Ambassador Douglas Hsu published an op-ed in Australian Outlook, calling for strong international support for Taiwan’s participation in INTERPOL. In the article, he underscores that transnational crimes—such as fraud, money laundering, human trafficking, and exploitation—have become increasingly borderless, faster, and more digitally sophisticated. Despite this, Taiwan remains excluded from INTERPOL’s intelligence systems, creating avoidable gaps in global security.
Ambassador Hsu emphasises that Taiwan is willing, able, and fully prepared to contribute even more to global safety. He urges all nations to support Taiwan’s observer status in INTERPOL and to work collaboratively to strengthen the resilience of the international community against transnational crime.
The op-ed highlights Taiwan’s proactive role in promoting global security and the importance of fully integrating Taiwan into international law enforcement frameworks.
