The Taiwan Fellowship Program is established and funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to award foreign experts and scholars who are interested in topics related to the Republic of China (Taiwan), cross-strait relations, mainland China, the Asia-Pacific region and Sinology to pursue advanced studies at Taiwan’s universities, colleges or research institutions.

- Online applications open from 1st May to 30th June 2026. A publication list must be included in the resume. Apply on https://taiwanfellowship.ncl.edu.tw and find more information for Guidelines in Mandarin/ English, Application Procedure and FAQ.
- After completing online application, please mail hard-copy application documents including
(1) printed application form (received via email after submitting online application);
(2) resume (including a publication list);
(3) a three-page (in principal) research proposal in Mandarin or English with standard research format;
(4) two letters of recommendation(one of them could be a consent letter from the chief administrator of the applicant’s institute) by 30th June 2026 to Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Melbourne (Level 46, 80 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000).
- The list of recipients will be released approximately early November 2026.
