OCAC Minister Hsu Chia-ching Attends ATFA Taiwan Night and Welcome Banquet

Minister Hsu Chia-ching of the Overseas Community Affairs Council and Director General David Cheng-Wei Wu and Mrs. Wu attended the Australian Taiwanese Friendship Association’s Taiwan Night and Welcome Banquet in Sydney. The event brought together community leaders, former ATFA presidents, and friends from across Greater Sydney to celebrate the Lunar New Year and connect over shared Taiwanese heritage.

DG Wu extended Lunar New Year greetings, welcomed Minister Hsu on her visit, and praised ATFA for its dedication to promoting Mandarin education, preserving Taiwanese culture, and supporting charitable initiatives. He also highlighted Taiwan’s strong economic performance in 2025 and expressed hopes for further Australia–Taiwan cooperation and CPTPP engagement.

Minister Hsu thanked the overseas Taiwanese community for their ongoing support and presented honorary appointments to community leaders. Attending dignitaries recognized Taiwan’s democratic and technological achievements, and all joined in celebrating the spirit of "Team Taiwan" and the continued growth of Taiwan–Australia ties.
