Our appreciation to President of the European Council and President of the European Commission for reiterating the determination to deepen Taiwan-EU relations

We sincerely appreciate the response from Charles Michel, President of the European Council, and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission to the joint letter of The Formosa Club. The EU leadership reiterates thte importance of partnership between the EU and Taiwan, as well as standing up for the right of the EU and its Member States to further develop relations and cooperation with Taiwan.

As a like-minded and capable democracy in the Indo-Pacific region, Taiwan is ready to extend its cooperation with the EU and its Member States. It is also crucial for democracies to stand shoulder to shoulder to withstand malicious coercion from authoritarian regimes!
