Taiwan and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg have officially implemented the Arrangement on a Working Holiday Program (WHP) as of January 1, 2019. Under the arrangement, Taiwan and Luxembourg each allow 40 young people between the ages of 18 and 30 to stay in each other's country every year for the purposes of sightseeing tours, short-term work or short-term self-funded study tours. The young people can also go to each other’s country to learn a foreign language, experience the local culture in depth, and enhance mutual understanding and friendship. In order to further promote youth exchanges between the two sides, the age limit for applicants to the WHP will be raised to 35 years old starting from April 1, 2023.
Taiwanese youth who intend to apply for the WHP and come to Luxembourg are free to visit the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office in Taipei’s website to learn more about the application procedures: http://www.investinluxembourg.tw.
