An op-ed on the Chinese military drill against Taiwan by Mr. Georges Dallemagne, Honorable Member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives, pointed out:
1. China is increasingly assertive to project its vision of international order, and aims to change the status quo.
2. Taiwan and the Strait play a critical role in the global shipping and semiconductor supply chain which concerns world prosperity.
3. Taiwan fights against the expansion of authoritarianism and defends the values of democracy and freedom. To prevent history repeating itself, such as the invasion of Russia in Ukraine, we should be vocal on Taiwan and for Taiwan.
We appreciate Mr. Dallemagne's strong support and encourage many more friends in the EU and Belgian to follow suit.
