Applications and nominations are invited for the position of Dean of the College of Science, National Chengchi University, Taipei, Taiwan. The Dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the College and reports directly to the President. The position is available as of August 1, 2026. The initial appointment is 3 years with the possibility of a renewable second term.
Established in 1994, the College of Science (formerly known as the College of Arts and Sciences) houses two departments (Mathematical Sciences, and Psychology), two graduate programs (Neuroscience, and Applied Physics), one BS program (Electrophysics), and seven certificate programs and one university level research center. The College is a hub for rigorous scientific research and interdisciplinary collaboration, while offering a student-centered learning environment for baccalaureate to graduate students. We are searching internationally for an outstanding scholar with high integrity, demonstrated administrative experience, strong commitment to faculty development and research excellence, and passion for education to ensure continued success of the College. The candidate will execute the following responsibilities:
1) Articulate and implement a student-centered vision for the College that supports the academic and institutional mission.
2) Supervise the recruitment, hiring, mentoring, and retention of highly-qualified, diverse faculty and staff.
3) Lead strategic planning and continuous improvement projects for cross- disciplinary teams
4) Supervise and promote professional development of faculty and staff
5) Formulating strategic relationships with the community, alumni, benefactors, and partners in the public and private sector
6) Demonstrate a commitment to continued excellence and growth of the College
Term Duration
Three years starting from August 1, 2026 with a second term renewable.

Candidates may enter the selection process through one of the following channels:
Recommendation: by one of the departments, institutes or degree programs within the College of Science.
Nomination: by the Search and Selection Committee (with over 2/3 consensus).
Direct Application: filed personally by the applicant.
