Taiwan ICDF Scholarship Program 2015
The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) is pleased to announce the offer of Taiwan ICDF (International Cooperation and Development Fund) Scholarship Program at undergraduate or graduate level for qualified Belizeans. These scholarships are for enrollment at universities in Taiwan, commencing in September 2015. Programs offered include:

Important regulations and notices:
(1)Scholarship recipients will be provided with a round trip economy class airfare, housing, tuition fees, credit fees, insurance, textbook costs, and a monthly allowance which varies for different study programs.
(2)Applicants need fill out and submit the TaiwanICDF Scholarship application form and related documents for intended program of study to the Embassy before March 16, 2015.
(3)For the TaiwanICDF Scholarship Application form, visit the link to the online application: "http://www.icdf.org.tw/TSP/Welcome.aspx". Please fill out the first page of the application form and print it out and sign it. After March 16, 2015, the above-mentioned website will be shut down and cannot apply afterward.
(4)For your application for the unversity of the intended program of study , visit the website:
http://www.icdf.org.tw/ct.asp?xItem=12507&CtNode=30318&mp=2 , and click: “Enrollment Websites for TaiwanICDF Scholarship Partner Universities”. Applicants must submit their application and required documents by post to the Universities intended to study by themselves before the application deadlines of different Universities. Every applicant can only apply for one program.
(5)The Scholarship recipient can not continuously apply for different leve l program, that is, no one is allowed to continuously apply at the same year when he or she just finishes his or her study in Taiwan. He or she must at least skip for one year for next application.
(6)For those who will be scheduled to graduate from school in June 2015, are allowed to apply, and they need to submit the original school letter and transcript certified by the Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs in Belmopan.
(7)This Scholarships are basically English-taught programs, except for the three Mandarin-taught Bachelor programs (please check from the program list). For those who apply and are accepted by the three Mandarin-taught Bachelor programs , they must pass the Level 3 of the Mandarin language test (TOCFL) in the first year, otherwise they will not be allowed to receive the rest of the Scholarship stipends.
(8)For those who are pregnant and can not deliver the baby before August, 2015, or the HIV test result is positive, will be rejected for the application. For those who have hypertension or other chronicle diseases, their applications will be seriously considered.
(9)For the applicants whose applications are accepted, the Embassy will request the formal interview by programs. The interview date will be informed and is the necessary process of application.
Duration of Scholarships:
The award period varies for different study program as follow:
Undergraduate program: maximum 4 years.
Master program: maximum 2 years.
Doctor Program: maximum 4 years.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be Belizean citizens (Overseas Chinese and Taiwanese nationals are not eligible).
- Is not current recipient of a scholarship or subsidy being offered by any other government agencies or educational institutions in Taiwan.
- For undergraduate programs, must possess a senior or vocational high school diploma; for graduate programs, must possess an undergraduate or graduate degree relevant to the intended area of study. The minimum GPA must be 3 or above, otherwise the application will be regard as incomplete and rejected.
- Be in good mental and physical health and under the age of 50.
- For those who work in governmental agencies must submit the approval letter issued from their working agencies when deliver their application.
- Can not be cancelled for scholarship qualification or be expelled from University studied in Taiwan before.

A complete application includes the following materials:
- Completed TaiwanICDF Scholarship Application Form(must on-line apply and print it out before March 16, 2015 )
- TaiwanICDF Medical Report within 3 months, including a HIV test (download website:

- Photocopy of the highest-level diploma certified by the Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs in Belmopan.
- Original complete grade transcripts duly certified by the Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs in Belmopan.
- Two (2) recommendation letters
- Itemized C. V . and resume( includes academic background and/or working experiences)
- Copy of passport
Deadlines:
All required documents mentioned-above must be completed electronically or in typewritten format and submitted in a 10" X 13" sized envelope specifying intended program of study, no later than March 16, 2015, to Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), #20 North Park Street, Belize City. Late and incomplete applications will be rejected.
