Visitor Visa
- Eligible Applicants:
Foreign national, who holds ordinary passport, intends to stay in the Republic of China(Taiwan) for less than six (6) months for the purpose of transit, sightseeing, visiting relatives, paying a visit, attending a training course, receiving medical treatment, or engaging in business or other activities.
- Requirements:
(1) A passport valid for at least six (6) months
(2) A permanent resident visa - if you are not a Belizean
(3) A completed barcoded Visa Application printout.

(4) Two recent passport photos.
(5) An incoming and outgoing airline itinerary
(6) Documents prove the purpose of visit (eg. invitation letter)
(7) Other documentations (For personal pleasure traveler: provide financial support document; for student: provide school’s acceptance letter; for business: provide official invitation/letter from company. Please call our office to get additional information if you are traveling with any other purposes other than above listed.)
(8) Please make an appointment for interview.
(9)Other relevant documents required by Consular Officer
- For applicants under 20 years old, one of his/her parents or guardian has to present with proof of relationship or guardianship. The application has to be signed by parents or guardian as well.

Resident Visa
- Eligible applicants:
Foreign national, who holds ordinary passport, intends to stay in the Republic of China(Taiwan) for more than six (6) months for the purpose of joining family, pursuing studies, accepting employment, making investment, doing missionary work, or engaging in other activities.
- Requirements:
(1) A passport valid for at least six (6) months
(2) A completed barcoded Visa Application printout.

(3) Two recent passport photos.
(4) Supporting documents or official letters of approval from a competent authority of the R.O.C.
(5) The health certificate should be issued within 3 months. (link to the Health Certificate for Residence Application(docx/pdf))
(6) Other documentations depend on the different purposes ( Please call our embassy to get additional information.)
(7) Other relevant documents required by Consular Officer
- Duration of Stay: Resident Visa holders are required to apply for an Alien Resident Certificate at the local service center of National Immigration Agency within 15 days after their arrival. They may stay in the R.O.C. as long as the Alien Resident Certificate remains valid.
- For applicants under 20 years old, one of his/her parents or guardian has to present with proof of relationship or guardianship. The application has to be signed by parents or guardian as well.

FEES:
The processing time for visa applications are 5 business days (exclusions may apply). Expedited services for visa applications require additional fees and the visas would be done in 3 business day.

For US Passport Holders: Processing Fee US$185 is applicable to citizens of the United States; Starting from June 17, 2023.

Other Remarks:
- Refunds are not issued for visa applications
- ROC Visa Statute can be found at R.O.C. Bureau of Consular Affairs website Visa Statute and Visa Statute Enforcement Rules.
- Foreign holders of an ROC resident visa, who have passed inspection and been allowed to enter the country by the National Immigration Agency （NIA）, shall apply to the local NIA county/city service center for an Alien Resident Certificate（ARC） within 15 days following their entry. Holders of ARCs must obtain a re-entry permit to re-enter the ROC.
