On November 13 in a meeting earlier evening with Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister of Belize, Ambassador Remus Li-kuo Chen was deeply honored and humbled to be given the opportunity to present the congratulatory letter from President Tsai Ing-wen of the Republic of China (Taiwan), not only for winning the strong mandate in the recent general elections, but also reaffirming Taiwan’s unwavering commitment to continued close cooperation with the Government of Belize, especially in public health, agriculture, rural development, trade, information technology, education, women’s empowerment and the environment.
Taiwan and Belize have enjoyed steadfast diplomatic relations for 31 years and closer ties between the two peoples. The Embassy looks forward to working closely with the newly announced Cabinet of PUP Administration under the leadership of Hon. Prime Minister John Briceño and his new team under the theme of “Todos Ganamos!”
