The Annual Belikin La Ruta Maya Belize River Challenge, one of the longest canoe races in Central America, is kicked off in San Ignacio at 7 AM today.
This year, the Embassy of Taiwan is absolutely delighted to take part in this meaningful event, not only as a race sponsor but also as a participant!!!
There are TWO teams from Taiwan Technical Mission in Belize currently joining the competition in the 175-mile race from today to next Monday. The names of the Taiwanese teams are “Taiwan Biiru” (means Taiwan Beer) and “Taiwan Hodala” (means Taiwan, Cheers!).
