Following the state visit of H.E. Dr. Tsai Ing-wen, President of the Republic of China (Taiwan)?? to Belize last week, the Embassy would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the Government and people of Belize, as well as the related authorities and personnel, for all the support and assistance that made the visit successful!
During the 3 days visit, President Tsai and her delegation were warmly welcomed by all our Belizean friends. Here are some photos highlighting the fruitful results and showcasing our strong partnership: welcome ceremony with Governor General H.E. Dame Froyla Tzalam and Honor of Guards; signing ceremony of the Technical Cooperation Framework Agreement; handing over 5,000 laptops; delivering speech and receiving “2023 Resolution to Support Democratic Taiwan Motion” in the National Assembly; inspecting the “Sheep and Goat Project” in Central Farm; presentation of San Pedro Hospital model; attending the Achievement Exhibition of Women Empowerment Program; and meeting with Taiwanese community members in Belize.
This milestone visit demonstrates the close and solid relations between Belize and Taiwan. Our two countries will continue to help each other in the international community based on the shared values of democracy, freedom and people’s right of self-determination. While we cheer for President Tsai’s successful visit, we also celebrate the ever-lasting friendship between our two countries and peoples
