Ambassador Lily Li-Wen Hsu was delighted to attend the opening ceremony of Belmopan digital connect center on July 5, along with Hon. Michel Chebat, Minister of of Public Utilities, Energy, Logistics & E-Governance, Hon. Oscar Mira, Minister of State in the Ministry of National Defence and Border Security, Her Worship Sheran Palacio, Mayor of Belmopan and Mr. Robert Pan, Chief of Technical Mission of Taiwan ICDF in Belize.
This digital connect center is part of the “Digital Inclusion Program”, which aims to address digital divide challenge in Belize and is jointly implemented by TaiwanICDF and MPUELE. Taiwan is honored to partner with Belize in it’s digital transformation journey. The Embassy is committed to working with the Government of Belize to promote the social, economic and technological development of the jewel.
