Ambassador Lily Li-Wen Hsu was delighted to witness the signing of the agreement on “Sustainable Tourism Development in Belize” between Hon. Prime Minister John Broceño of Belize and Executive President Gisela Sánchez of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) on January 11.
This project aims to improve the visitor flow in the northern and western borders of Belize, as well as to conduct a feasibility study for waterfront development in Dangriga.
Being the first project funded by the Taiwan-CABEI Partnership Trust Fund, this project bears special meaning to the strengthening of collaboration between Taiwan and Belize through the multilateral forum of CABEI.
Taiwan will continue working closely with the government of Belize and international partners to advance the sustainable development of Belize.
