Amb. Lily Li-Wen Hsu attended the Opening Ceremony of Digital Connect Center in Caye Caulker (2024/07/23)

On July 23, Ambassador Lily Li-Wen Hsu was delighted to attend the Opening Ceremony of Digital Connect Center in Caye Caulker, the first and only such Center on the Belizean islands. This marks the eighth and final Digital Connect Center being set up under the “Digital Inclusion Program” collaborated between the Taiwan ICDF and the Ministry of E-Governance of Belize.

Hon. Michel Chebat, Minister of Public Utilities, Energy, Logistics, and E-Governance, Area Representative Andre Perez, Ms. Seleny Pott, Chairwoman of the Caye Caulker Village Council, and Mr. Robert Pan, Chief of the Taiwan Technical Mission in Belize were also presnt to witness the opening ceremony this morning.

The Governmens of Taiwan and Belize have worked hand in hand to promote digital transformation and bridge the Digital Divide across the country. The Embassy looks forward to working with the Government of Belize to bring more meaningful projects to benefit this blessed jewel and it's people.
