Ambassador Lily Hsu Attended Closing Ceremony of BCCI's Women Entrepreneurs Training Program (2024/10/21)

On Oct 21, Ambassador Lily Li-Wen Hsu was delighted to attend the Closing Ceremony of the “Support for Micro and Small Business Operations- Closing the Gap” project implemented by Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), under the Taiwan-Belize Women’s Empowerment Program. Through this project, 15 women entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds received training in financial management, which is the key challenge facing women entrepreneurs. With enhanced capacity and support from fellow participants, these women business owners will become more resilient and their business will grow further.
The Embassy thanks the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Belize, the BCCI and the Taiwan Technical Mission for the great effort and collaboration on this important project to identify the specific barriers hindering women entrepreneurs and develop concrete action plan to close the gap, thus create a more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem in Belize.
