On Oct. 29-30, Dr. Lin Chia-lung, Foreign Minister of the Republic of China (Taiwan), led a delegation to visit Belize in celebration of 35 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Highlights of Minister Lin’s visit included a fruitful bilateral with Foreign Minister Francis Fonseca, a welcome reception hosted by MFA, breakfast meeting with Prime Minister Hon. Briceño and visits to the Belcan Bridge and the construction site of the San Pedro and Caye Caulker Hospital.
The Embassy extends its heartfelt thanks to the Government and people of Belize for their warm hospitality and great assistance in making Minister Lin’s visit a success. This fruitful visit demonstrates the strong and enduring relationship between Taiwan and Belize. Based on the shared values and mutual interests, our two countries will continue to support each other and further strengthen our robust partnership.
