The Embassy hosts the New Year Flag-Raising Ceremony

The Embassy hosted the New Year Flag-Raising Ceremony of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Year 115. Nearly 150 members of the Taiwanese community and friends from across Belize gathered at the Embassy under the warm sunshine to welcome the New Year together. Despite the heat, everyone joined with bright smiles, exchanged New Year greetings, enjoyed delicious Taiwanese dishes filled with the taste of home, and received calendars from Taiwan’s Overseas Community Affairs Council. It was a joyful and heartwarming way to begin the new year.
The Embassy sincerely wishes Taiwan and Belize a smooth and prosperous 2026, with good health and well-being for all, and lasting friendship between our two countries. We also wish all Taiwanese and friends in Belize a Happy New Year, peace, and happiness!
