The Embassy hosted a reception in Belize City on Oct. 8, 2026 in celebration of the 115th National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
We are honored to celebrate this glorious moment with Governor-General H.E. Dame Froyla Tzalam, Prime Minister Hon. John Briceño and First Lady Mrs Rossana Briceño, Cabinet members, friends from Belize government, business, academia, NGOs, media, as well as leaders of our diaspora community.
In his remark, Ambassador Amino Chi expressed sincere appreciation, on behalf of Government and People of the ROC (Taiwan), to Belize for the warm welcome and hospitality to Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung and his delegation, who concluded his fruitful visit to Belize last week. Ambassador Chi also extended heartfelt thanks to Hon. John Briceño for voicing Belize´s staunch support for Taiwan in the UN General Assembly. We look forward to our continued cooperation and partnership with Belize under our shared values of freedom, democracy, respect for human rights, the rule of law, and people’s self-determination.
As Oct. 11th marks the 37th anniversary of Taiwan-Belize diplomatic ties, we are joyful to celebrate our nation’s birthday with our good friends in Belize. Wish both of our countries mutual prosperity and everlasting friendship!
