NTU is the most prestigious university in Taiwan and is among the top 100 universities in the world. Guided by independent thought and a pioneering spirit of enterprise, students at NTU become a part of the nation’s most prosperous center of learning and receive a comprehensive and quality education. On the disaster prevention level, NTU reinforces collaboration with governments, enterprises, and private sectors and offers students on-site experience and education. We have several disaster research centers on campus and numerous connections with industry experts; the MDR3 program is built on plenty of resources and a firm educational foundation.
The MS Program in Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience (MDR3) is designed to equip students with resilience, risk assessment and management, climate change adaptation, and contingency planning expertise. These skills are in increasingly high demand in government agencies, private sectors, NGOs, academia, disaster reduction industries, and from local to international authorities.
The well-rounded curriculum has been organized in two directions: Resilience and Environmental Planning and Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Technology. We offer theory- and research-based teaching as well as application-based training. This program aims to cultivate industry leaders and scholars with a holistic vision to invest in sustainability efforts.
