TECO Vancouver consular services go online appointment booking on October 1, 2020

With an increasing number of applicants, consular services at this office will undergo changes on October 1, 2020 to shorten wait times and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Complying with local health to enhance service efficiency, applicants seeking consular services must make an appointment first.

All Greater Vancouver area applicants need to make an appointment before coming to our office for consular services.

Applicants outside of the Greater Vancouver area can apply by mail. Please enclose all required documents and add "Attention to Consular Division" on the envelope when mailing in your application.

【Making Appointment】

Please visit our consular website (https://www.roc-taiwan.org/cayvr_en/cat/14.html) for application requirements before making an appointment.

Fill in the application form in advance, print out and bring it to our office or mail it to us for application.

  1. Starting October 1, 2020, this office will take online reservations only, and will suspend the phone reservations.
    Please go to our Online Service Reservation System to secure a time slot: tecovancouver.com from October 1, 2020.
  2. Consular Service Hours
    (1) 9:20 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (except statutory holidays).
    (2) Applicants please be advised that this office only take consular application reservations scheduled within the coming 3 months.
  3. Service Selection
    Select the type of application that you want to make, and fill in all required information.
    For multiple applications, please specify the number of applications and the number of applicants at the remarks column before submitting.

【How to Fill in your Application Information】

  1. Surname: Please fill in your English surname.
  2. Given Name: To protect your personal information, please type in only the first 3 letters of your English name only (e.g.: Yi-Ping HUANG, please fill in "Yip" in the first name field).
  3. Verification of Identification: Please present your passport or other government-issued ID while apply in person with this office.
  4. Passport: Please fill in the last 4 digits of your passport number.
  5. Lost Passport: Please click on the "Other official photo ID" option and fill in the last 4 yards of any other government issued photo ID (e.g. driver's license).
  6. If you do not have any government-issued ID, please call 604-603-2928 for assistance.

【Appointment Confirmation, Modification and Cancellation】

  1. Appointment Confirmation: Please check your appointment confirmation email from the online reservation system.
  2. To change the time or cancel the reservation: Please click on "change the time" or "cancel the reservation" at the bottom of the confirmation email should you need to do so.
  3. If something happens on the day of your reservation, you must call this office at 604-689-4111 to cancel your reservation. Failing to come to apply at the reserved time twice could affect your right to make future reservations.

【Health Conditions】

  1. Please do not come to this office if you have fever, cough or other influenza symptoms.
  2. Please wear a mask and keep a safe social distance when you come.

【Processing Times】

  1. Visas: 12 working days
  2. Passport: 30 working days
  3. Non-verifiable documentary authentication: 20 working days
  4. Documents need verification: Will inform by email or phone call when ready.

Please be patient as the phone call volumes are usually very high and we could not answer your right away. Please slowly and clearly leave your name and phone number with the phone voice mailboxes to help us respond as soon as possible.

Notes on Entering Taiwan

  1. Please fill in the online "Quarantine System for Entry" (https://hdhq.mohw.gov.tw) before departure for Taiwan to avoid any delays at immigration.
  2. Please refer to the following website for the latest COVID-19 regulations governing travel to Taiwan.
