2022 Taiwan Fellowship application opens on May 1, 2021

Taiwan Fellowship

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) established MOFA Taiwan Fellowship to award foreign experts and scholars interested in researches related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, mainland China, Asia-Pacific region and Sinology to conduct advanced research at universities or academic institutions in Taiwan. The research themes of 2022 Taiwan Fellowship will focus more on topics relevant to Taiwan’s foreign policy, e.g., Taiwan’s participation in regional economic cooperation, enhancement of global and regional connection, “New Southbound Policy,” combat of fake news and disinformation, and security issues in Asia and the Pacific.

The 2022 Taiwan Fellowship online application opens from May 1, 2021 to June 30, 2021. The recipients will conduct their research in Taiwan in 2022. For more information, please visit the Taiwan Fellowship’s website: http://taiwanfellowship.ncl.edu.tw/eng/about.aspx.

Applicants in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut are required to complete online application and mail the following application documents to Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vancouver by June 30, 2021.

  • The copy of application form
  • Resume (including a publication list)
  • Research Proposal (three pages excluding references; academic format)
  • Two letters of recommendation or one letter of recommendation and one letter of agreement from the highest administrative director of your institute
