The Cheng Yu-tung East Asian Library at the University of Toronto invites you to a discussion with Jenna Tang, translator of Fang Si-chi’s First Love Paradise!
This event, hosted by the Cheng Yu-tung East Asian Library and sponsored by the Taipei Cultural Center in New York, is co-organized by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Toronto, the University of Toronto Scarborough's Department of Historical and Cultural Studies, and the Women and Gender Studies Institute at the University of Toronto. The renowned translator Jenna Tang will share her insights on translating Lin Yi-han’s influential novel, which has significantly contributed to Taiwan's MeToo movement.
The discussion, moderated by Dr. Shana Ye from the University of Toronto Scarborough, will explore the novel’s themes and its impact on society.
