The 49th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) announced the winners on September 15, highlighting two Taiwanese films: Daughter’s Daughter (女兒的女兒) and Dead Talents Society (鬼才之道)

At TIFF, the award winners were announced: "Daughter’s daughter" was the only Asian film selected in the Platform competition and Sylvia Chang took 2nd place, while "Dead Talent Society" secured 2nd place in the "Midnight Madness" audience vote.
