Canadian political friends who also fight for freedom and democracy — including MP Hon. Judy Sgro, Ontario MPP Aris Babikian, York Regional Councillor Joe Li, Councillor Councillor Ritch Lau Markham Ward 2, and Isa Lee—were all in attendance to join the grand celebration.
The performances were dazzling and captivating, keeping everyone's eyes glued to the stage, with highlights like a 90-year-old Mr. Lai from the Hakka Association performing "Picking Sweet Potatoes" and many talented singers who earned rounds of applause. The choir of Taiwanese youth made everyone feel the vitality and prosperity of Taiwan. The event reached its climax with a lucky draw, creating a warm and lively atmosphere.
