Introduction
Chang Gung University (CGU) was first established as Chang Gung Medical College (CGMC) at Tao-Yuan (Northern Taiwan), in 1987 by the founder of Formosa Plastic Group Mr. Wang Yung-Ching. In 1997, the CGMC was formally changed to CGU. With intensive collaboration between Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, CGU is a first-rated international renowned university and is ranked within top 400 University world-wide.
The English Program for Master’s Degree (MS) in Molecular Medicine, under the School of Medicine, is designed for international students with a background in biology, biomedicine, or biotechnology who wish to engage in vigorous training leading to a MS degree. All lectures and laboratory courses are offered in English. Students can also enroll in technology/laboratory-based summer courses, and have access to the cutting-edge core facilities in the Molecular Medicine Research Center at CGU.Faculty members have expertise in the following areas: Molecular Medicine,Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Microbiology (Bacteriology,Virology, Parasitology), Immunology, Pharmacology, Physiology, and systems biology disciplines such as Genomics, Proteomics, Metabonomics and Bioinformatics

1. Applicants must NOT hold the citizenship of Taiwan-ROC or possess overseas Chinese student status at the time of application.
2. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an
accredited institution.
3. TOEFL score of 550 (CBT: 213, IBT: 80) or above, or IELTS score of 6 or above within the past five years (not required for native English speakers and applicants with Bachelor’s degrees from Universities in English-speaking countries).
Tuition and Accommodation Fees
NT$31,573 (US$~1,070)/semester; Dormitory cost NT$~8300 (US$~280)/semester
Scholarship
Each International MS student is entitled to obtain ~US $405 per month.
Registered students may also apply for the teaching assistantship (TA) with a monthly stipend of ~US$270-US$330 for ten months, as well as research assistantship (RA) with monthly stipend of up to ~US$330.
Graduation Requirement
Graduate students must complete 24 graduate credits from the required and elective courses, and 6 additional credits of thesis study for a total of 30 credits.
