Rail & Metro Taiwan Expo & Summit─ Makes its debut in Kaohsiung

Taipei, May 20, 2019 – The Taiwan International Rail & Metro Show (Rail & Metro Taiwan Expo & Summit) will be held at Kaohsiung Exhibition Center in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, August 21-23. This first edition event will be a grand gathering for Taiwan’s railway industry and bring together Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corporation, Vecow, Ta Yih Industrial, G-Tech Instruments, Frauscher Sensortechnik GmbH, Thales, TUV, Tokie solutions and other railway operators and system integrators, to network and create business opportunities.
According to the Forward-Looking Infrastructure Plan, Taiwan will invest NT$58 billion for 38 railway constructions to further develop its railway network, from high-speed rail, Taiwan railways, mass rapid transit, to light rail transit.
Rail & Metro Taiwan 2019 will present solutions that cater to current railway infrastructure needs including: industrial-grade computer services to enable rolling stock in AIoT era, force and sound measuring instruments, load cells, FAG railway wheelset (TAROL), traction motor bearings, CCTV Systems, NVH controls, wheel detection, axle counting systems, and more.
The Summit is a highlight of Rail & Metro Taiwan 2019 and will gather authoritative speakers from across the globe representing Thales, Advantech, Siemens, Hyundai Rotem, Intelligent Transportation Society-Taiwan (ITS Taiwan), to name a few, and will focus on topics including discover global mobility solutions and IoT railway applications.
Rail & Metro Taiwan Expo & Summit will be jointly held with Smart IoT Taiwan Expo & Summit 2019, and feature smart healthcare, smart retail and logistics, smart disaster prevention and environmental governance, and Funtech Taiwan. This joint event will collectively attract around 5,000 trade visitors.
