DanceOmatic presents at AARHUS2017 a novel concept: an à la carte dance show. Put money in the machine, and order the dance show you want to see live. Experience the Danish-Taiwanese performance group DanceOmatic as part of programming for the Aarhus European Culture Capital 2017.
The concept is simple, yet novel: 1: Put in a coin in the game machine and choose the choreography or dance which you wish to see. 2: Within 60 seconds the dance group will perform the selected dance show. You can choose the kind of performance you desire, as though it was a ‘dance machine’! Hip hop, contemporary, traditional Chinese dance are just some of the styles available for choice via the dance machine.
The dance performances are the product of Danish-Taiwanese culture exchange. They are professionally choreographed and performed by dancers from Taiwanese troupe Le-Yun Dance and the Danish dancers Martin Schultz Kristensen and Jon Stage. DanceOmatic’s performances in Denmark are supported by Aarhus2017 and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
