The reception in celebration of the 114th National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan) was successfully held on October 8.

In his welcome remarks, Amb. Cheng of this office expressed his appreciation to the friends and the overseas Taiwanese community for their assistance in the past year, either in establishing the Parliamentary Taiwan Friendship Group, or making the historic visit of former President Tsai Ing-wen to Denmark a great success.
Amb. Cheng also conveyed Taiwan’s staunch support for Denmark in the wake of drone incidents recently.
The following remarks by Chairman Sven Hovmand of the Taiwan-Denmark Association and the Honorable Kasper Roug, Vice Chairman of the Parliamentary Taiwan Friendship Group, also emphasized on the importance of the bilateral relations between the two countries, and the need of mutual assistance in tackling the current challenges.
The event was brighten up by the premier of the “Danish Taiwan Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra,” which was founded by the Taiwanese professionals in Denmark after they met at the dinner in May during President Tsai’s visit.
With the famous Taiwanese songs presented by this outstanding orchestra, the audience was not only impressed by the beauty of Taiwanese culture, but also the talent of the performers.
