The "F:F:F-Formosa : Finland : Fest." event, organized by Taiwan’s cultural association GACC and supported by Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, kicked off on November 27th in Tiivistämö, Helsinki. This event was also one of the series cultural events of the " European Taiwan Cultural Year 2025."
In the afternoon, the Taiwanese DJ Sonia Calico played the Taiwanese medley and the Taiwanese chef Soac served several classic Taiwanese dishes such as beef noodles and fried chicken in the press conference, both received highly positive feedback from the audience.
Later in the evening, Taiwanese bands including Flesh Juicer and Crescent Lament, along with Finnish bands Korpiklaani and Lost Society performed on the stage. Additionally, Ambassador Freddy Lim’s own band Chtyonic, were playing with Finnish violinist Olli Vänskä. The concert attracted a full house of attendees, including Finnish politicians, diplomats from various countries, Finnish media, and fans and professionals from the music industry.
Ambassador Freddy Lim added that, Taiwan's core values, including democracy, freedom, human rights, and resilience, which have been promoted internationally, are with great importance. However, beyond serious issues, Taiwan also needs to build emotional connections with the world. By leveraging the popularity of metal in Finland, Taiwan aims to establish a cultural bridge with the country, showcasing its unique and profound cultural heritage beyond semiconductors and chips.
