Notice: Quarantine measures required for incoming passengers
According to the regulations of the Taiwan government of the Republic of China, all travelers arriving at an airport in Taiwan or transit passengers must present a COVID-19 RT-PCR test report within 2 days before boarding.
In order to conduct electronic tracking for community concern, inbound passengers please act in concert with using our country's telecom number (SIM card can be bought in airport after arriving) and personal cellphone (1 cell per person) for declaration.
At a press briefing on Monday (May 30), Minister of Health pointed out that current epidemic prevention measures such as the mask requirement will remain in place from June 1-30. As for testing passengers upon arrival, that the minister is planning to switch from nasal swab tests to saliva tests.
Taiwan is planning on shortening the length of the current seven-day mandatory quarantine for passengers arriving from overseas and will make an announcement about loosened border controls in June, but the extent to which Taiwan eases restrictions still needs to be discussed among the various ministries.
