On June 11, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced it will change quarantine regulations and disease prevention measures for domestic airline crew members returning to Taiwan starting 00:00 on June 15 (incoming flight's scheduled arrival time). Related adjustments are listed below.
1. Crew members arriving from countries under Level 3 travel notice (long-haul flights):
a. Those who have received a COVID-19 booster shot for at least 14 days can use testing to replace quarantine: a seven-day self-health management (D0: PCR testing; rapid or PCR testing every two days).
b. Those who have not received a booster shot (including those who have received a booster for a period of less than 14 days): a three-day home quarantine plus a four-day self-health management (D0: PCR testing; D4-D7: rapid or PCR testing every day).
2. Crew members who have not entered countries under Level 3 travel notice and have returned to Taiwan the same day (short-haul flights):
a. Those who have received a COVID-19 booster shot for at least 14 days: a five-day self-health monitoring and a rapid test or PCR test every five days; regular testing may not be mandatory if five days have passed since the last flight duty, and no new duty has been assigned (the days should be recounted after a new duty is assigned).
b. Those who have not received a booster shot (including those who have received a booster for a period of less than 14 days): a seven-day self-health monitoring and a PCR test every seven days; if seven days have passed since the last flight duty, and no new duty has been assigned (the days should be recounted after a new duty is assigned).
