Visa applicants who intend to visit Taiwan in order to work there and stay for a period longer than 180 days must submit the required documents in person and pay the visa fee at the nearest ROC Embassy, Consulate or Representative Mission to apply for a Resident Single-Entry Visa.

| Original and one photocopy of health certificate | 1. The health examination shall be conducted in accordance with the Health Certificate for Residence Application prescribed by the Centers for Disease Control, and may be undertaken at any duly qualified medical facility.2. Health Certificate needs to be legalized by your country’s Ministry Foreign Affairs and Taipei Representative Office in Hungary.
3. Visit the website of the Centers for Disease Control at https://www.cdc.gov.tw/En for health checkup items. 4. Applicants of the following categories are not required to present the health certificate: · minors under age 6; · both the visa applicant and the family member(s) currently investing or employed as white collar worker(s) in the R.O.C. (Taiwan), whom the applicant intends to join with, are from countries whose citizens are eligible for visa-waiver entry into the R.O.C. (Taiwan). |
| Original and one photocopy of Certificate of Residence in R.O.C. Alien Permanent Residence Certificate, Alien Residence Certificate, or various kinds of residence permits issued by the National Immigration Agency | 1. One copy of the Household Registration Certificate issued within 3 months is required if the individual, whom the applicant intends to join, is an R.O.C. (Taiwan) citizen with household registration.2. Original and one photocopy of Certificate of Residence in the R.O.C. (Taiwan), Alien Permanent Residence Certificate, Alien Residence Certificate, or other kinds of residence permits issued by the National Immigration Agency are required if the individual, whom the applicant intends to join with, is an R.O.C. (Taiwan) citizen without household registration, a foreigner having obtained APRC or ARC, a Hong Kong or Macau resident, or a Mainland Chinese citizen. The documents must be valid for more than 6 months. *Dependents who obtain an ARC for the purpose of joining family are ineligible. |
| Original and one photocopy of proof of parents’ marriage | 1. For applicants who are under age 18 and are the children or grandchildren of an R.O.C. (Taiwan) citizen with household registration, and the applicant's parents must currently have household registration in the R.O.C. (Taiwan), one original Household Registration Certificate issued within 3 months that shows registration of the parents' marriage is required.2. For applicants who are under age 18 and are the children of an R.O.C. (Taiwan) citizen without household registration, a foreigner having obtained APRC or ARC or other kinds of residence permits, a Hong Kong or Macau resident, or a Mainland Chinese citizen, proof of parent's marriage issued by competent authorities of the applicant's is required. |
| Original and one photocopy of birth certificate | 1. The birth certificate must show both parents' full names.2. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by a Chinese- or English-translation version. The original-language documents and the accompanying Chinese- or English-translation version needs to be legalized by your country’s Ministry Foreign Affairs and Taipei Representative Office in Hungary. |
- Appointments shall be made via email in advance.
- Please note, that if any of the required documents was issued in foreign language, it has to be translated by a sworn translator into English or Chinese language.
- Applicant may submit visa application not earlier than one monthbefore the date of entering Taiwan.
