Taiwan Chorus, from Taiwan, will present a concert at 4:00 p.m. on August 15, 2026, at Dublin Unitarian Church in Dublin, Ireland, featuring choral works rich in Taiwanese character. Through this performance, the choir hopes to use music as a bridge to share Taiwan’s warm, diverse, and sincere cultural spirit with friends in Ireland and the local overseas Taiwanese community.
The concert will be conducted by Wu Hung-Chang, Artistic Director of Taiwan Chorus and a tenor trained in Italy, with pianist Chen I-Chen serving as accompanist. The program will mainly feature Taiwanese songs, presenting through beautiful melodies and heartfelt interpretation the deep affection for the land, the richness of folk life, and the natural beauty of Taiwan.
To deepen cultural exchanges and people-to-people connections between Taiwan and Europe, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture is continuing to jointly promote "Taiwan Culture in Europe 2026" under the theme "Connecting Culture, Inspiring Future." The above-mentioned Taiwan Choir performance is also an event of the "Taiwan Culture in Europe 2026" initiative.
Taiwanese music carries the memories of its people and the spirit of its culture, serving as an important window through which to understand Taiwan. Through this performance, we hope that more international friends will hear Taiwan, come to know Taiwan, and experience the sincere, warm, and vibrant spirit of Taiwanese culture.
Admission to this concert is free, with open seating. All are warmly welcome to attend and enjoy the performance.
