Ambassador Tien was invited to attend the inauguration of India’s 1st Synthetic Rubber Plan run by Indian Synthetic Rubber Ltd (ISRL), which is a joint venture project promoted by TSRC corporation, Taiwan, Indian Oil and Marubeni Corporation, Japan. The plant, located in Panipat, will produce 120 kilo tonners of Emulsion Styrene Butadiene Rubber annually. The chief guests attending the inauguration included Dr. M Veerappa Moily, Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Ms. Panabaka Lakshmi, Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Dr. Arvind Sharma, Member of Parliamentary, Mr. Wei Hua Tu, CEO of TSRC. The project is considered a milestone for the development of India’s petrochemical industry.
